Zanzibar FC 2015/2016 Registration

Registration for Zanzibar FC starts at 8pm on Sunday, 20th September. Sign up early to avoid disappointment.

Registration for the Zanzibar FC 2015/2016 season starts at 8:00pm on Sunday, 20th September 2015.

The entry fee is $190 per player.

The entry fee includes 18 league games, play-offs and a jersey.

The season will start on 31st October 2015 and will run through to May 2016.

The full Zanzibar FC fixture list has been released. The season will kick-off on Saturday, 8th November.

Games will kick-off at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm and 12am.

Chipolopolo Win the League!

In the best finish to a ZFC league season ever Chipolopolo pipped the Indomitable Lions to the ZFC title with a 3-2 win at the Toronto City Sports Centre.

Hussein Walji scored with 5 minutes to go making it 3-2 for Abdul Champsi’s boys in blue; a result that leapfrogged Chipolopolo to the top of the table.

The final game of the ZFC season will go down in history alongside other final day classics such as Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Liverpool in 1989 and Manchester City’s 3-2 victory over QPR in 2012.

The ZFC side stated that his birth certificate is “absolutely legitimate”.

Kazim Raza has completed his move from Harambee Stars to Kakamega Homeboyz FC in a record transfer deal for the Zanzibar FC league leaders.

The midfielder had a medical on Friday and has signed a long-term contract.

Kazim is likely to make his debut at against Gymkhana tonight.

With over half of the season complete, Kakamega Homeboyz FC are the team to beat in this years’ ZFC campaign.

The Homeboyz trounced title rivals the Indomitable Lions 4-0 in a very one sided match to go top on goal difference.

The top two teams have opened up a 5 point gap on the chasing pack, but with 8 games to go the title is still up for grabs.

ZFC Match Day 5 saw two red cards. Mazaher Ismail and Sajjad Najarali both saw red.

This week saw the second and third dismissals of the season with Mozambique Stars’ Sajjad Najarali sent off for violent conduct and Chipolopolo’s Mazaher Ismail seeing red for swearing at the referee.

Both players will serve a two match suspension, which means they will be unavailable for selection on 7th December and 14th December.

The remaining fixtures have been finalised and can be found on stats.zanzibarfc.com.
