Chipolopolo Win the League!

In the best finish to a ZFC league season ever Chipolopolo pipped the Indomitable Lions to the ZFC title with a 3-2 win at the Toronto City Sports Centre.

Hussein Walji scored with 5 minutes to go making it 3-2 for Abdul Champsi’s boys in blue; a result that leapfrogged Chipolopolo to the top of the table.

The final game of the ZFC season will go down in history alongside other final day classics such as Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Liverpool in 1989 and Manchester City’s 3-2 victory over QPR in 2012.

Week 4 Round: Handbags and Suspensions

A five-metre high statue of Zinedine Zidane’s famous headbutt on Marco Materazzi has been unveiled in Paris. A similar incident may or may not have occurred at the Toronto City Sports Centre on Saturday night.

ZFC Week 4 was just as incident filled as last week with plenty of goals scored and a few handbags at dawn.

ZFC week 3 was full of incident with a bag full of goals, yellow cards, dodgy refereeing and worst of all, an alleged streaker running on the pitch.

Gymkhana inflicted Botswana Meat Commission FC’s worst ever defeat as they thrashed the steak lovers 10-0 in ruthless fashion to go one point clear at the top of the ZFC Premier League.

And Munawarali Najafi’s men could not have delivered a more emphatic statement as Sajjad Najarali’s side were humiliated.

Gymkhana led just 1-0 at half-time, but the second half was completely one-sided and the eventual margin of victory could have been even more convincing.

Match Report: Kaizer Chiefs sink Mozambique Stars

Chelsea's Frank Lampard was in clinical mood against Bolton, scoring three goals in a 5-1 win at the Reebok Stadium.

In the season opener, Kaizer Chiefs and Mozambique Stars locked horns in what can only be described as one of the biggest grudge matches ever played at the Toronto City Sport Centre.

The controversy began last week as the two teams were involved in the first trade of the season, which was followed by the astonishing Champsi incident.
