Lionel Messi of FC Barcelona celebrates with his teammates after setting Spanish goal scoring record.

With the ZFC season about to restart after 4-week winter break who are the in-form players to keep an eye on and which teams look like they’ll be challenging for the title?

The top of the table is very tight with only one-point separating the top three teams.

Taha Ali’s unbeaten Kakamega Homeboyz FC are on top of the table with 10 points from four games, although they’ll feel they should have had four wins out of four but for their disappointing 2-2 draw with Gymkhana.

Mozabique Stars and Taifa Stars are just a point behind and any slip up from the Homeboyz this weekend could see a change at the top.

Injury hit Indomitable Lions and Bafana Bafana have both had disappointing starts to the season with only one win in their opening four games. It’s no surprise that these two teams have been the most active in the transfer market.
