There are many ways to measure the overall performance of a team when preparing to make your 2013/14 ZFC predictions. Some examples, looking at ex-captains drafting their players who have played amazing with them, the top 10 scoring leaders from the previous season, players coming together from other tournaments, players who are new to the league.

Not to be mistaken with the Shakespeare’s play The Merchant of Venice, brothers Rizwan and Sibtain Merchant received the call up to play in this seasons ZFC competition and neither of them could turn the offer down.

The full Zanzibar FC fixture list has been released. The season will kick-off on Saturday, 19th October.
Dates for the first eight match weeks taking place in 2013 have been confirmed. Dates for the 2014 games will be confirmed soon.
Expect a very active pre-season in the transfer market this season.
With the added excitement of 10 team this season, there has been a lot of jostling for players in the first week since the draft and the expectation is that the pre-season transfer market will remain busy.

Zanzibar FC 2013/2014 is scheduled to kick-off on Saturday, 5th October.
The highly anticipated Zanzibar FC draft was held on Sunday, 15th September and with 110 players to choose from the 10 team captains had a lot of thinking to do.
The top 2 draft pics for this season were veteran strikers Shani Kara and Abbas Hasham, with ZFC rookie Nayu Akbar coming in 3rd.

With 120 players in the league this season, Zanibar FC has introduces a disciplinary committee to oversee any unruly incidents.
Zanzibar FC has introduced a new 3-panel disciplinary committee to review player conduct at the Toronto City Sports Centre throughout the season.
The 3-panel board consists of Hisham Ali, Hassan Syed and Muhammad Kara.

Due to the overwhelming number applicants for the hotly anticipated 2013/2014 ZFC season, the league has been expanded to 10 teams.
The original 96 spots were filled up in a record breaking 2 hours and 44 minutes and the application forms kept on coming in.
With the expansion there will now be 120 players taking part in the new season and therefore the 10 team captains will have a lot of research to do before this weekend’s draft.
Registration for Zanzibar FC starts at 8pm on Thursday, 5th September. Sign up early to avoid disappointment.

Undefeated league champions Mozambique Stars will be looking for a routine victory over Gor Mahia on their way to completing the league and cup double.
