Champsi's Mozambique Stars career is looking bleak
Mazahir Najarali insists Javad Champsi is finished at Mozambique Stars after the newly signed midfielder refused to play for him.
The record signing said “No” when asked to go on as sub with his side trailing in a pre-season friendly.
Boss Najarali raged: “He is finished. He refused to go on. I can’t accept this. He won’t play with me again. I don’t want another situation like tonight, never. With me he is finished.”
“In the next few hours, I will speak with my brother Calbe-Ali Najarali.”
“Do you think a player can do this at Kaizer Chiefs, Gymkhana or Botswana Meat Commission FC? Never.”
“This can’t happen in a top club when a player refuses to help his team-mates in an match like today.”
Champsi came out to defend himself afterwards — but ended up dodging the issue entirely.
He said: “I have been professional during all two hours at the club.”
“Last season I was the best player in the league and I put my opinion across that I wanted to leave for family reasons — but I keep trying to do my best.”
